Securing the Future of Pollination for Australian Berry Growers

The Australian Pollination Strategy has received a $1 million grant from The Ian Potter Foundation, bringing total contributions to $2.64 million. Led by the Wheen Bee Foundation, this initiative unites agricultural, environmental, and research sectors to address biosecurity threats, habitat loss, and pollination service demand. The strategy aims to secure pollination for berry growers by developing a science-based plan, fostering industry collaboration, and ensuring long-term sustainability. The project begins with a Pollination Security Status Report and will guide research, education, and policy-making to protect Australia’s pollination-dependent crops.
