Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is a Berry Industry Partner?

A Berry Industry Partner is a non-grower business or organisation that supports the Australian berry industry and wants to build closer connections with growers and industry stakeholders.

The program provides access to selected Berries Australia communications, events, advertising opportunities, and industry engagement activities.

2. Who can apply to become a Berry Industry Partner?

The program is open to non-grower organisations associated with or interested in supporting the Australian berry industry.

Typical applicants may include input suppliers, nurseries, equipment companies, technology providers, advisers, consultants, researchers, logistics providers, labour and training businesses, professional services firms and other horticultural organisations.

Applications remain subject to Berries Australia’s eligibility and approval requirements.

3. Which businesses are most likely to benefit?

The program is most valuable for organisations that want to:

  • Reach Australian berry growers
  • Build sustained industry recognition
  • Advertise through trusted berry-industry channels
  • Attend or support industry events
  • Share relevant expertise or information
  • Develop long-term relationships within the berry supply chain

Companies seeking only one isolated advertising placement should compare the available partner and non-partner options before applying.

4. What is the difference between Berry Industry Partnership and Grower membership?

Berry Industry Partnership is designed for non-grower businesses and organisations supporting the industry.

Grower membership is available to eligible commercial berry businesses only.

Businesses that both grow berries and supply products or services to other growers should contact Berries Australia to confirm the appropriate category.

5. How much does Berry Industry Partnership cost?

2026–27 annual partnership fee: $800 including GST – Valid for the partnership period 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027

Paid advertising, sponsorships, exhibition space and other promotional packages are additional unless a particular offer expressly states otherwise.

6. When does the partnership year run?

The partnership year runs from 1 July to 30 June.

Partnership fees are not pro-rated when a business joins partway through the year. Businesses joining late in the year should consider the benefits and advertising opportunities remaining before the next renewal date.

7. What benefits are included in the annual fee?

The current program includes:

  • A printed copy of each edition of the Australian Berry Journal
  • Invitations to eligible industry events at no attendance charge, excluding major events like BerryQuest International or Berry Practical. BIP members will be offered discounted access rates to these events

9. Who will our business be able to reach?

Berries Australia represents a collective national network of more than 700 growers across the blueberry, strawberry, raspberry and blackberry industries.

The Burst has approximately 2,000 recipients, including berry-growing businesses and industry stakeholders. The Australian Berry Journal also provides national industry exposure through its quarterly print and digital distribution.

Partnership provides access to communication channels; it does not provide partners with growers’ personal contact lists.

10. Does partnership guarantee sales leads or new customers?

No. Partnership creates opportunities to increase visibility, demonstrate expertise and build industry relationships, but it cannot guarantee enquiries, leads, sales or commercial outcomes.

Results will depend on the relevance of your offer, the quality and consistency of your participation, your advertising activity and how effectively your business follows up industry connections. The BIP members who take full advantage of the connectivity on offer are the ones who experience the greatest commercial outcomes from the investment.

11. Can partners advertise in the Australian Berry Journal?

Yes. Berry Industry Partners can access discounted multiple-edition journal advertising packages.

Partners making qualifying four-edition full-page bookings may also be able to access selected premium positions, subject to availability and the current advertising terms.

Advertising rates, deadlines and prepayment requirements should be reviewed before booking.

12. Can partners advertise in The Burst?

Yes. Paid advertising in The Burst is currently restricted to Berry Industry Partners. There is one advert per edition and this space sells out quickly.

The Burst is distributed monthly to approximately 2,000 berry-industry recipients. Advertising remains subject to available space, specifications, deadlines and content approval.

13. Can partners advertise on the Berries Australia website?

Yes. Berry Industry Partners can purchase advertising on the Berries Australia Resource Library page.

Website advertising is not included automatically in the annual partnership fee and must be booked separately.

14. Will Berries Australia share our social media posts or news?

Partners may submit relevant social media posts and news content for consideration.

Sharing is subject to prior approval and should only occur where content is useful, credible, objective and directly relevant to Australian berry growers. Partnership does not guarantee that every submitted item will be published.

15. Can our company present at an event, workshop or webinar?

Partners may be considered for speaking or presentation opportunities when their expertise aligns with identified grower needs and the activity’s objectives.

Partnership does not guarantee a speaking position. Decisions are based on educational value, relevance, speaker capability, event format and available time.

16. Can partners attend Berries Australia events for free?

Berry Industry Partners can attend eligible industry events at no charge, except for major events such as BerryQuest International or Berry Practical, for which a fee applies.

Events that require tickets will be offered to BIP member staff at a discounted rate.

17. What access do partners receive to major events like BerryQuest International?

Berry Industry Partners receive priority access to major event sponsorships and exhibitor packages, such as BerryQuest International and Berry Practical.

Sponsorship, exhibition space, registrations, accommodation, travel and other conference expenses are additional and are not included in the annual partnership fee unless expressly stated.

Priority access does not guarantee availability after booking deadlines or once packages have sold out.

18. Can we use a Berry Industry Partner logo?

Yes. Current Berry Industry Partners may use the approved “Proud Berry Industry Partner” logo to communicate their participation in the Berries Australia Berry Industry Partner program.

Use of the logo is subject to approval and these conditions.

19. Does partnership mean Berries Australia endorses our products?

No. Berry Industry Partnership demonstrates that an organisation supports and participates in the Australian berry industry. It does not constitute certification, accreditation, exclusivity or endorsement of a partner’s products, services or commercial claims unless Berries Australia has provided separate written approval.

20. How do we apply and what happens next?
