Gaius Leong joined us as the NSW IDO from June 2023 taking over from Melinda Simpson who moved on to the Varroa mite response team at NSW DPI.

Gaius joined the Berries Australia team from the Oz Group Co-Op in northern NSW where he was the chief Blueberry agronomist. Oz Group Co-Op is a 100% Australian farmer-owned co-operative based in Coffs Harbour.

Gaius brings with him a great depth of blueberry knowledge and he continues to work closely with the Australian Blueberry Growers Association to help support all blueberry growers across Australia.
