AS20007: Impact of Package Coating ‘ZXT’ on Postharvest Quality of Strawberries

A QDPI trial compares ZXT-coated and standard strawberry punnets using ‘Albion’ and ‘Cabrillo’ fruit stored at 4°C. Coating delayed decay onset, but physical damage and dehydration remained important limits to shelf life. The article explains the findings, limitations and why careful handling and cold-chain management remain essential.
