Strawberries – not a host of Mediterranean fruit fly

Medfly is a pest of quarantine concern and strawberry is regulated by some markets as a host of medfly, requiring postharvest treatment to access those markets. Within Australia for domestic trade, the regulation of a fruit or vegetable as a fruit fly host is usually based on published host lists. This report is by DAFWA and summarises research into hosts for MedFly. Published 2015
