Blueberry breeding is a highly competitive global industry

Many newer varieties are covered by intellectual property protection known as Plant Breeders’ Rights (PBR) and can only be propagated or planted under licence from the owner of the PBR.

Many varieties are public and are available for home garden cultivation.  You can find a current nursery to supply your Blueberry plants here.  Not all nurseries will supply to private purchasers.
