Turning Runoff into a Resource: New Future Drought Fund Project for Berry Growers

Learn about a new national Future Drought Fund project investigating commercial-scale woodchip bioreactors for protected berry production. Demonstration sites across five growing regions will examine whether bioreactors can improve irrigation runoff quality, remove nutrients and contaminants, support water reuse, reduce environmental impacts and strengthen farm resilience during periods of water scarcity.
