Model: Factors driving horticulture productivity (HA24004)

The model provides users with a tool to experiment with different productivity drivers. It can be used to: ■ Develop scenarios for future planning of industry value added based on assumptions about the uptake of productivity improving technologies. ■ Compare the implications of different productivity developments over time. ■ Test the effect of changes in underlying adoption drivers. ■ Assess the incremental effects of improved adoption outcomes. ■ Analyse the sort of productivity assumptions that would be needed to achieve ‘targets’ for industry growth. The model can, for example, be used to generate the ‘benefits’ side of analysis looking at the impacts, costs and benefits of research or extension activities within horticulture.
