Current SAI Board
The Board of Strawberries Australia Inc. currently consists of 6 members. There are 3 Office Holders and 3 Board Members. All Office Holders have agreed to hold their positions for a minimum of two years to provide continuity within the organisation.

Simon Dornauf
The Dornauf family has been farming in the Meander Valley just north of Launceston for three generations. Their life in berries began 30 years ago, when Simon’s father, Robin, began growing raspberries for both domestic and export markets.
Simon is the Director and Farm Manager of the current family farm, Hillwood Berries in the Tamar Valley. They grow all four of the major berry types; Strawberries, Raspberries, Blackberries & Blueberries.

Nathan Baronio
Nathan Baronio is a third-generation farmer and Director at Eastern Colour, a family-run business based in Applethorpe, Queensland. Eastern Colour is well known for producing premium strawberries, apples, and pears for Australian consumers.
Nathan brings deep industry knowledge and hands-on experience in modern horticultural production, supply chain management, and sustainable farming practices. Passionate about innovation, quality, and supporting the next generation of growers, Nathan represents the voice of progressive, family-based farming enterprises within the strawberry industry.
As a Strawberries Australia board member, he contributes a practical, grower-focused perspective that helps guide the future of Australia’s berry sector.

Adrian Schultz

Adrian and his wife Mandy operate a multi-crop farm at Wamuran in south-east Queensland. Adrian Schultz is a qualified horticulturist with over 30 years’ experience. He is passionate about fusion farming as a way to bridge the gap between organic applications and traditional practices. He cares about the quality and taste of fruit produced on his farm and more broadly, Australia-wide.
