Delegates who book accommodation with the conference venue, Sea World Resort, during the conference period will receive a special discounted rate.

Any accommodation queries or changes should be managed directly with Sea World Resort reservations team on 07 5591 0083.

Delegates are encouraged to take note of their accommodation provider’s booking and cancellation policy to avoid any unexpected costs

Berries Australia accepts no responsibility for accommodation availability and strongly encourages delegates to book accommodation early as the Gold Coast is a popular holiday destination during winter and rooms could potentially sell out.

Sea World Resort room bookings: We have been advised by Sea World that room bookings are non-refundable (but are name transferable). However, if someone cannot attend as a result of being a confirmed COVID-19 case, you can contact Sea World Resort with a Medical Certificate advising that you are unable to travel and at their absolute discretion, Sea World may issue a partial refund.  Please direct all enquiries about room bookings direct to Sea World Resort.

Should your circumstances change, and you are unable to attend the conference, you must contact Berries Australia via email no later than 30 days prior to the commencement of the conference.

A full refund will be issued with a cancellation at least 30 days from the conference start date and will not incur a cancellation fee.

Should you cancel less than 30 days prior to the commencement of the conference, no refund will be payable. However, in some circumstances, on compassionate grounds, we will offer a refund of 80% of the fees paid.

Substitution to alternate delegate is permitted with no additional fee.

The Student One Day Pass can only be purchased by genuine students who are currently studying in agriculture or a directly related field.

You will be required to show your current student identification or a letter from your educational institution confirming your enrolment in a relevant course when you collect your ticket at the conference.

The payment options are:

  • Credit card – Visa, Mastercard or American Express
  • Cheque – either personal or from your institute. Cheques MUST be made out to Berries Australia and can be posted to PO Box 578, Archerfield QLD 4108
  • Direct transfer – you will be emailed banking instructions upon application

An Australian Tax Invoice will be emailed for all registrants once registered.
All rates quoted include GST and are in Australian dollars.
All online registrations are checked by the event coordinator. If there is any query they will contact you. If you wish to make changes or additions after you have registered, please email events@berries.net.au

At the end of your online registration, you will be given the option to pay securely via credit card or receive an invoice to make a bank transfer. You will be sent a receipt upon submitting your registration and payment.

If you choose to pay via bank transfer, you will be sent an invoice shortly after submitting your registration, and full payment must be made within 30 days of registering.

Your registration is not confirmed until full payment is made. If you register during a period of discounted or Earlybird rate, you must ensure that payment is made before the discounted period ends, otherwise the next cost level will apply.

In the event you are unable to attend the conference, the substitution of your registration is available to an unregistered colleague or friend by writing via email to Berries Australia.

Any reimbursement for registration and additional costs must be sought directly with the new attendee.

Berries Australia will refund any fees paid for BQI22 after taking into consideration the relevant cancellation policy, within 14 business days of receiving a refund request.

Refunds will only be processed to the credit card or bank account of the individual, organisation or institution from which the payment was received.

Berries Australia accept no liability if an event is cancelled or postponed for reasons beyond their reasonable control resulting from an act of God, governmental regulation, fire, war, terrorist activity or civil commotion.

If Berries Australia elects to re-schedule the conference, all registrations and additional items are automatically rolled over to the new dates of the conference.

If Berries Australia elects to cancel the event, the liability is limited to a refund of registration costs, subject to fees and conditions. The conference will not refund any travel costs associated with the cancellation of the event. Accommodation pre-payments will be refunded subject to the terms and conditions of the hotel.

Delegates are strongly advised to secure appropriate travel and health insurance.

Delegate registration fees do not provide any such insurance coverage.

Berries Australia accepts no responsibility or liability against cancellations of bookings, loss or inconvenience or theft/damage to belongings in this regard.

All best endeavours will be made to present the program as published on the conference website.

Berries Australia reserves the right to alter, without prior notice, any of the arrangements, timetables, plans or other items relating to the conference for any cause beyond its reasonable control.

Berries Australia is not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused because of such alteration.

By registering, participants acknowledge and consent that during their attendance at the conference their image or voice may be recorded via video, photograph or by any other means (“recorded”) by an officer or official of the conference which may be distributed or published at the discretion of the Berries Australia.

If you do not wish to be recorded, you are required to formally advise Berries Australia in advance by email.

The BQI22 venue, Sea World Resort & Conference Centre, is on one level and is wheelchair accessible, however it is located down a hill from the main resort which may be challenging for some guests.

If you have accessibility requirements, please contact the BQI22 events team to ensure your needs are met.

In terms of accommodation, Sea World Resort has a number of accessible rooms. When booking accommodation online via the link there is a section for additional comments. Please include any accessibility requirements in these comments.

BQI22 delegates and their families who are staying at Sea World Resort during the conference have access to discount tickets for Village Roadshow Theme Parks (Sea World, Movie World, Paradise Country & Wet’n’Wild).

  • Unlimited Sea World entry for duration of stay @ $35pp
  • Unlimited 4 Park Pass entry for duration of stay @ $75pp

These tickets can be purchased directly through Sea World Resort when booking your accommodation or checking in.

Full ConferencePackage includes all sessions across both conference days, Morning Tea, Lunch & Afternoon Tea on all conference days, access to the Trade Exhibition, the Welcome Reception on Monday 25 July, Boatshed Bar & Grill BBQ on Tuesday 26 July, Sea World Plaza Conference Dinner on Wednesday 27 July and your choice of Farm Tour on Thursday 28 July. There is no need to book separate tickets for the networking/dinner events if you have registered for the full conference package. Partners or family members are welcome to attend the dinners – please book their tickets separately and provide their names when registering.

An Earlybird discount was available on full conference packages booked on or before March 14, 2022.

Current (2021/2022) financial members of either Strawberries Australia and/or its affiliate State associations, Australian Blueberry Growers’ Association or Raspberries & Blackberries Australia are entitled to purchase a full conference package at a discounted rate between March 15, 2022 and June 30, 2022.  Please contact your association to receive the discount code.

Sea World Resort & Conference Centre is located approximately 45 minutes’ drive from Gold Coast airport and approximately 1hr 15mins drive from Brisbane Airport. There is a range of transfers and public transport options from both airports.
