Dr Jodi Neal is a Principal Plant Breeder with the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries Queensland (DAF) and leads the Australian Strawberry Breeding Program (ASBP), one of Australia’s largest public horticultural breeding programs.

She is also Team Leader of DAF’s Strawberry Production Systems Team, providing management support for the majority of strawberry research projects within DAF.

Prior to her current position, Jodi was a Plant Breeder with the Australian Macadamia Breeding Program, and has worked for the University of Queensland and CSIRO analysing data from breeding programs of various species including macadamia, wheat, strawberry, sugarcane and Eucalyptus.
